A few weeks ago I mentioned a new post player for the team and according to TTDan on Terrapin Times that player is 6'6 Yemi Oyefuwa from Great Britain. She's only been playing ball for two years and at the recent European Championships, she averaged 1.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. She only played above 10 minutes in one game and missed all six free throws. Maybe she was injured, but I am really concerned that we will have to play 5 guards if we get in foul trouble.

I'm Back and With some Possible Breaking News
Sorry for the delay in updates over the summer but a number of things have happened since the season ended.
1) I got a promotion at work.
2) The misses gave birth to a baby boy.
With that being said, I may not be able to devote the same time I have had in previous years. If someone wants to help maintain the site shoot me an e-mail or leave a message in the comments.
Now onto the team business
1. We added a transfer from Illinois by the name of Lori Bjork. She's a three-point specialist and can't play until next year.
2. The schedule has been posted and I will update here when I get a chance.
3. The Maryland Media Relations department seems to be doing a good job getting us ready for the season with all these Q&As with past and present players.
4. Brenda was named the chairperson of a SIDS event.
5. We have a new assistant coach replacing fan favorite Diane Richardson. I loved the Hulk Hogan move she pulled at the ACC Tournament.
6. Kat's gone.
7. Kizer helped the U-18 team win gold.
8. Coleman and Toliver were named to the preseason WBCA Watch List.
9. In WNBA news, it seems Lang and Harper are struggling for playing time. I can understand Harper because the Monarchs are a playoff team, but the Mystics amaze me. They are terrible and instead of seeing what Lang can do for a full game, they just bury her on the bench. They even made up for their draft "mistake" by trading for Tasha Humphrey, which means even less time for Langhorne. I guess shooting 62% and leading the league (Brooke Smith has only played 8 games) isn't good enough.
10. POSSIBLE BREAKING NEWS: I was at Comcast yesterday trying to buy some tickets for this weekend's football game (friends are in town to see the baby and want to go to the game) and I saw the girls playing pick up. A few observations: Kizer looks good as do last year's injured guards; I saw a new girl in the post who didn't resemble Kizer, Drey or Liles. Maybe this is the international girl Terrapin Times refuses to tell us about.; No sign of Jackie Nared, but maybe she had class and wasn't there when I stopped by. - UPDATED at 1:30. Jackie is no longer enrolled at Maryland due to a Clearinghouse issue according to Terrapin Times. Rumors abound that dad is mad. Better clear this up if we have any chance with her stud sister.
less than a month until the Madness begins again....
