Terps Continue Undefeated Streak in Boston

Another trip to Boston, another win. I think that pushes our streak to 5 and it seems like BC is the only Boston area team that can't win at home.

All-around decent effort although we had our chance to crush them for good, but we let them back into it. BC's zone seemed to give us fits from outside as we shot 7-26 from three. Luckily, Crystal was down low to gobble up the rebounds. She only needed 8 for the basketball record, but obviously felt 18 was a more impressive number. After a cold first half, Toliver heat up from outside and finished with a season-high 26 points. I am glad to see that Harper did better from the line and that our turnovers numbers again stayed down. Coleman looks to be back in her shooting slump but hopefully she shakes it off and gets ready for the next game.

I am disappointed that we let a freshman score 28 on us, especially when she took 16 shots. Post defense has to better when we play more talented teams.

My bigger complaint is the minute distribution. Why is Kristi playing 40 minutes in a 27-point blowout win? Were we afraid that BC was going to make a furious rally to tie the game up late in the second half? Why is Crystal playing 37 minutes? The only thing it does it leaves us open for injuries. Does the staff have no faith in Drey Mingo or Kat Lyons? Both need experience, especially Drey as she will be thrust into a starting role next year (that is, if she decides to stay).

Next up is Ekud on Monday at 7 in hopefully a packed Comcast Center.

Joey - what is behind your comment about Mingo? Is she unhappy here??

No idea if she is unhappy, but if I was a top recruited player and played less than 30 seconds in a blowout win, I would be unhappy.
