Terps have "Triple" the fun against the Gauchos.

What a night at the Comcast Center. First triple-double in school history and second triple-digit scoring game of the year. This was the best I have seen the team play all year and they play like this for every game, look out, as everyone else is playing for second place. I honestly didn't expect to win by 60, UCSB isn't that bad, but I was impressed. Another opponent held under 50 this year, that's five for those counting at home. (Who said you its M-A-R-Y-L-A-N, because they play no D). Aside from that we had Marissa filling up the stat column and six players in double figures. Oh and the winning streak is extended to 15.

Positives

  • Fewer than 10 turnovers. Only 3 in the second half. Some of the turnovers were charges too, I think I counted maybe 4 or 5 bad turnovers.
  • Coleman. What can you say about her that hasn't been said. With 8 minutes to go, she had 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 points. Over the next four minutes, she had 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 11 points. I think we have a ACC Player of the Year in our future.
  • Harper. rebounded from an 0-fer in Marshall to lead all scorers with 19 points. Glad to see she didn't let it affect her too much.
  • Newman. I really like what I have seen from her this year. She's more confident in her offensive game and she is really attacking the glass on both ends of the court.
  • Rebounding. Coleman nearly outrebounded them with 14. I was shocked to see 51-17 was the rebounding margin.

    Negatives
  • Crystal's Free Throw shooting. Looks like we are back to Crystal's freshman year form. Hopefully she finds her touch by January.
