Friday Facts

  • The Associated Press has decided to release their votes each week, which you can see here. Looking through them all, I noticed that Jay Jenkins of the Charlottesville Daily is the lone person ranking us third and Tommy Deas of the Tuscaloosa News has us second behind Duke. I couldn't find the other second place vote.
  • Milton Kent of the Baltimore Sun writes about the Terps easy non-conference schedule. While I see his point, I would rather the team rested and ready rather than beaten down. Tennessee hasn't won a title since 1998 and it could be related to a) getting beat up during the course of the season and b) having your weaknesses exposed by all these other good teams.
  • As of last check at least 12,000 tickets have been sold for tomorrow's game and the American Red Cross will be there looking for blood donations. Also some recruits including Ms. Shegog. Hopefully there will be some signs in the crowd telling her to pick Maryland.
